Overview

Subject to the completion of requirements of accreditation by the Pakistan Engineering Council, GNIES shall start establishment of Department of Civil Engineering i.e. BS Civil Engineering (4 Years Program) and expected to be functional very soon. In this regard, all formal procedures have already been adopted in the light of directions of PEC/HEC/PHEC. Required well-equipped laboratories have been established to meet the academic requirements of students and teachers as well as the professional need of other allied organization. These labs will be upgraded with the passage of time in the light of PEC/HEC/PHEC direction, which facilitate high tech research work.

In the meantime, GNIES will engage eminent and experienced teachers as Civil Engineers cater to the national needs for buildings, highways, dams, bridges, irrigation network and water supply system. They are considered as the world’s largest users of building materials.

It will become a unique a department of GNIES and will prove to be a focal point providing education and research facilities in the field of Civil Engineering. The emphasis will be on introducing students to modern trends and techniques and advanced knowledge in their field of specialization.
